Carry Pistol Proofing
Upon request (at purchase), we’ll fire your choice for carry ammunition unity using ballistics gel. Performance is measured to the same FBI ballistics gel testing as the professionals. You’ll receive performance measurements with photos as well as the fired bullets used during the test.
Carry pistol ammunition proofing, $75 at time of purchase.

Size, fit, function, appearance, and caliber all matter, especially when you daily carry a firearm for self-defense. These aspects are also crucial to building a complete, personalized collection for yourself and the generations to follow.
This service is only available to students of Headwaters Armory. The price for a three-week test of a popular carry pistol is usually under $99 (depends on your pistol choice/cost) and it goes toward the price of the firearm if you decide to make the purchase. Prices vary depending on make and model.

Transfer Services for Out of State Family Members and Estates
We can help you:
- Create a financial plan to fit into your estate plan using estimated values of your collection.
- Perform interstate transfers to receive heirloom/inherited firearms and send firearms to other family members or trusts.
According to the Auction House Rock Island Armory in a publication titled Gun Prices Going Up (and Why) by Joe Engesser (9-29-2021) demand for antique firearms and curio & relics has been on the rise for years. Auction listings for firearms such as transferable M16A1 experienced a more than 13% annualized return on investment since 2015. Even vintage WWII era rifles like the M1 Garand saw a 9% annualized return on a collector’s investment for the past decade.
